Introduction:

setv2hnf is a tool to convert the output of Settings Viewer 2.0 (setview.lst and setviewr.lst) to a Humax settings file setview.hnf.
The file format of setview.hnf is ready to be uploaded to your Humax receiver.

Installation:

-  copy setv2hnf.exe and ftv2hnf.exe to the same directory as setview.lst and setviewr.lst;
- antenne.txt and menu.txt are specific to your receiver configuration and must be generated (the included antenna.txt and menu.txt are mere examples):
. download a hnf settings file from your settop box to PC;
. convert the hnf file to a fvt file with for instance hnf2fvt (HNFTools) or HNFSmart;
. extract the antenna paragraph of the fvt file to antenna.txt;
. extract the menu paragraph of the fvt file to menu.txt;
. copy the generated antenna.txt and menu.txt to the directory of the setview files.
Note: antenna.txt and menu.txt must be renewed after changing your receiver configuration!

Usage:

Just execute setv2hnf.exe.
The output will be in the file setview.hnf in the same directory.

Release notes:

Version 1.0:
- Initial release.

Known issues:

- The output of Settings Viewer does not contain data on flags on locking, skipping, scrambling and favorite lists. So there is no way to preserve this information;
- For programming convenience, I decided to create a transponder, network and provider for every channel. So there is a lot of redundancy, that might put a load on your receiver. If your settings editor has the possibility, it is advisable to remove the redundant transponders before uploading to your receiver.
