SES Global interested in acquiring New Skies Satel

The world's largest satellite operator SES Global reportedly is interested in acquiring Amsterdam-based New Skies Satellites. The latter declined to elaborate, but people familiar with the situation said the company is considering a merger or a take-private transaction, possibly with the backing of a private equity firm, according to a Reuters report. A SES senior executive told Reuters that if a deal could be worked out, it could be interesting.
