I use WinCVS when working under Windows.

 

I don't know of a VSS plugin to interface with a CVS server. Looks like a bad idea anyway because MS VSS is real crap.

how can I mount the image on my linux pc?

 

mount -o loop rel102.img /mnt/tmp gives me in dmesg:

"cramfs: wrong magic"

 

I would need that, because my box refuses kernels

past 2.4.19

You can't mount the image on a X86 CPU! You have to use de cramfs tools to decompress the img file.

as Appien said you can't mount the images on x86 CPU's. At least not without converting them from little endianess to big endianess. Or using a specially adapted driver. I don't know whether such a conversion tool or adapted driver exists.

 

It's probably best to use uncramfs (search this forum). It's a tool compiled for the powerpc and must be run on the dreambox itself.
